My invention relates to a fireproof paint composition and is particularly adaptedg for use on boilers and all kinds of metal structureswhich are exposed to intense heat or to the weather. r I? My composition consists of the following ingtreilients, combined in the proportions sta e a sistency of paint 50 gallons. Drier '5 gallons. of Wood alcohol 3 pounds. Powdered zinc, mixed with 2 gal- 5 pounds.
. In preparing this composition the asphaltum--1s reduced tothe consistency of aint by turpentine or by any ofthe petro cum reducers, and to the a'sphaltum whenthus reduced is added five gallonsof the best ainters drier. To the asphaltum and drier is then added the litharge which renders the paint very'hard. after it becomes dry and i ters-Patent, is-
