This invention relates to receptaciee, particularly to that clase known ae tire trunks for use on automobiles., and the object. t of is tov provide euch a trnnlr which i tirely closed with the exception oi a mental opening at one point adapte1 to covered by a correspondingly Shaped cover, all being composed, preierahg, ci waterproof fabric.

It wiil thus he seen that i provide a trnnhy which may he divided, horizontally, into ceinpartnienie, and the partition be eniployed to hold the cover in a desired ponin tion, or may employ the said partition for use as a Wall pocket if not desired as a partition and shelf but, in such use 0r nonuse of the said partition, I provide supplemental means for forming a shelf and cover retainer and which, normally, serve as a protector for tools or other articles held thereunder, it. being understood that the entire casing is of substantially rigidconstruction, Whereas the flaps Z) and e are flexible.

Having fully described my. invention,

what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

l. A tire trunk, comprising a casing, a cover therefor pivoted thereto, and a ieX- ible flap forming a shelf secured Within the casing and in detachable connection with said cover to hold the same in position.

2. A tire trunk, comprising a casing, having side, back and front members, the latter extending partially across said casing, a cover hinged thereto and covering the remaining portion of said casing forming a shelf, and a flap in said casing and in detachable connection With said cover to limit the movement thereof.

3. A tire trunk, comprising a casing having an opening of less diameter than the easing, a hinged cover for said opening, a flap dividing said casing into compartments serving` also to limit the movement of said cover, and means for forming a rear Wall pocket of said flap.

4. AV tire trunk, comprising a casing having an opening in one side thereof and of less diameter, a cover therefor hinged thereto, a flap secured to said cover, and means for connecting said Hap to the interior o said casing to form a shelf and limit the movement of said cover.

A tire trunk, comprising a easing having an opening of less diameter at one side thereof, a cover hinged thereto, a flap secured in said casing, a flap secured to said cover, means for connecting said first named flap to said cover and means for connecting said last named flap to said casing,

to form shelves and cover limiting means.
