Be it known that l, Ronun'r t\[. FREDERICK, a citizen ot' the United States. residing at Atear Creek. in the county ot' Marion and State ot Alabama, have invented a new and nset'ul 'Plow-Foot. ot which the 'following is comprises a metallic strip which is bent back at. an intermediate point upon itselt` torming'two side portions spaced one trom the other. One et' the said-side portions is provided with a laterally disposed recess which i s adapted to receive the standard ot a colter and the saidrecess portion of the plotwrv standard is provided with a set-scre\\"or other device adapted to iinpinge the colter standard against the side ot' the plow beam to which thestandard is then applied.

The plow standard l is'formed trom a strip ot' metal which has the general configuration ot' a U shaped plow standard, that is to sav the said strip is bent back upon itsehc having spaced side portions and the balm 2 is located between the spaced side portions of the standard l and the said standard is adapted to carry a plow point or plate 2t. One ot' the. side portions' of the standard l is provided with a laterally disposed section et which constitutes 'a recess `for the reception of a standard 5 which supports acolter wheel t3. Securing bolts 7 pass transversely through the side portions ot the standard l and also through the beam and at the opposite sides ot thc recess t. set screw is passed transversely through the outer portion ot the recess l and at' its inner edge bears against the side of the standard 5 and is adapted to impinge the said standard against the side ot' the beam 2. .Thus it will be seen that by providing a recess in one side of the standard Vtor the reception of the colter standard that the, plow standard cooperates with the plowbeam as means t'or adjustably securing or lip-holding the colter standard with relation to the plow-beam without pcrtorating or otherwise weakening the said plow-beam.

A plow comprising' a beam, a standard secured thereto and t'ormed trom a'strip ot' material having` its end portions bent back upon each other and spaced 'forming side portions. the beam being located in tie space between the side portions. one ot` the side portions otI the standard having a recess formed therein which recess is adapted to receive the standard of a colter, and means located at the recess of the side portion ot the standard for forcing the` eolter standard in close contact with the side ot the beam.
