'IMPROVEMENT IN HOOP-SKITS.
The Schedule referred to in theseLettg-:rs Patent and making part of the same.
To all whom/it may concern:
Be it known 'that we, JOHN WHITEHEAD, and JOHN MCKEEVER, both of the city, county, and State ot' NewYork, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Hoop-Skirts; and we do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable those skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference'being hadA to the accompanying drawing, forming part ot' this speciiicatiomin which drawingv Figure l represents a'side elevation of this invention. Figure 2 is a horizontal section thereof.

This invention consists- Y v First, in the arrangement ofan apron, in' combination'with an open, front hoop-skirt, said apron being secured to the waistband, and to the tapes which support the open ends ofthe hoops, by hooks, but-tons',
or other suitable fastenings, in such a manner'that, by said apron, the open ends of the hoops are prevented from sticking out and injuring the dress worn over the hoop-skirt; and, furthermore, if the apron is soiled, it can be readily-removed for washing.
