SHADE-ROLLER SUPPORT AND SHADE-GUIDE.
Specification of Letters Patent.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRANCIS ARTHUR FAGAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Herkimer, in the county of Herkimer and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Shade-Roller Supports and Shade-Guides, of which the following is a specification.
This invention has relation .to shade roller supports and shade guides and has for its object the provision of a novel shade roller support and shade guide which will not only support a shade roller but will sustain and guide the edges of the shade so as to cause the shade to always roll up evenly and smoothly on the roller and will hold the edges of the shade, adjacent to the roller, out of contact with the window frame, thereby preventing injury to and uneven wear of the shade.
In carrying my invention into eifect, I
provide a combined shade roller support-and shade guide arranged at each end of the shade roller composed of a single piece of metal preferably a casting, having the usual pierced or slotted lug for the reception of the shade roller spindle and having a latorally extending forked arm that embraces the edge of the shade and guides and supports the same.
My invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawing wherein:

I claim:
A combined shade roller support and shade guide consisting of a one-piece casting' comprising a lug having a bearing for the shade roller spindle, a laterally forked arm to receive the edge of the shade and a vertically disposed fiat back plate integral with the lug and forked arm and pierced above and below the said bearing for the reception of fastenings whereby the In and forked arm may be simultaneously ad usted on and rigidly fixed to side bars of the window In testimony whereof I. afix my signature,
