To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WESTON W. ALLEN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Alma, in the county of Gratiot and State of have invented a newand useful Improvement in Mattress-Straps, of which thefrfollowing is a specification.

The invention consists in the novel 'features of construction hereinafter described, pointed'out in the claims and shown in the accompanying drawings, in which-- Figure 1 1s a perspective view showing a mattress supplied with my improved strap handles. Flg. 2 is a plan vlew showing. the blank from which the strap is formed. Fig. 3 is a view of the strap completed and ready for attachment to the mattress.
In constructing this strap, I form the same with a longitudinally extending body portion 1 carrying at each enda head 2, each head being provided with laterally extending lobes a and an end lobe b, Thebodyportion 1 is folded u on itself from each side edge,

What I claim is 1.. The combination with a mattress, straps having a body portion arranged vertically upon the sides of the mattress, extenend of said body portion, each of said extensions consisting of a plurality of lobes, the marginal portions of lobes being reinforced, and

A strap of the kind escribed consisting of a body portion having end extensions, each end extension consisting of two laterally extending lobes and an end lobe, the body portion having its opposite sides folded over upon the body portion, the ed es of said folded portions meeting along the ongitudinal central line of the body portion.
3. A strap of the kind described consisting of t body lportion having its opposite side poiions to ded over and secure to the said iody portion, end, extensions carried by said body ortion, a reinforcement for the edges of Salt extensions, and metal eyelets placed in the reinforced marginal portions of said extensions. f
