To all whom it may conce-rn:-
Be it; known that I, JOHN M. KLmenNMErnn, of the city. of Buffalo, county of Erie, in the State of New York, have invented a Iew and improved Spittoon for hospital and parlor-use; and I ldo hereby declare that the following is a full and exact descrip` tion thereof, reference being hadto the nccompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.

A is the main box, to-which a. cover, B, vend'post 0 are secured. v
It is also provided with a. spit-box, D, which site` in box A. Said box can be taken out, for the" purpose of cleaning it.

The coiled spring has for its object the raising of the rod F, after it has; been pressed vdown by the ec-,V tion .of the hand on the knob.

The same has for its object to act upon cover B, whenever the rod Fis depressed. so that the cover B will turn to openbox A.
