The folding cot supporting the structure is illustrated in Fig. 4 and needs no description, this form of supporting structure being well known in the art and not being the subject 'of any claim of invention in this claim.

The folding of the sheet, together with its several side braces and supporting cords for convenience in carrying is plainly indicated in Fig. 3. Preliminary to folding the structure, the Spreaders 6 at the ends of the sheet are disengaged therefrom and slid along the supporting cords to a suliieient distance from the sheet to permit them to be laid on the sheet parallel with the side braces at some convenient point as indicated in Fig. 2. The s readers being detached from the ends ol' tlie sheet, it is easy to fold over one end section of the sheet upon the middle section, as shown in Fig. 3 and then to fold over the other end section upon the section already folded. From the foregoing description, it will be apparent that the structure forming the present invention may be made light, yet strong; that it possesses the requisite liexibility for convenient use a hammock, While it may be easily made rigid at the sides to serve satisfactorily as a cot; and that it is of simple design, so that there but little likelihood of any cords becoming entangled 0; any difficulty being encountered in setting The ar- 1 parts having been brought up the structure as a cot,or in suspcndingit for use as a hammock.
