I e it known-that I, MACK T. TAYLOR, a citizen of the United States, residing at Fort l/Vorth, Texas, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Garbage- (lans, of which tion.

This invention relatesto receptacles for receiving trash or other matter and particulaily to receptacles for placing -onside Wallis and other conspicuous places'toreceive trash which might 'be-'otherwise thrown on the streets and other places, and the object is to provide such receptacles with certain attachments which will automatically close the receptacles when the trash falls into the re? ceptacles so that the trash is covered troni view and so that 4bad odors will not rise 'up lfrom the trash.

' Another' object is to provide suchI receptacles with inner removable cans which will receive the trash and which can be removed to dump the trash into garbage wagons without having to move the outer inclosing walls. With such arrangement the outer walls remain smooth and do not become unsightly and battered from rough 'usage Another advantage is that the outer; ine closing walls are made removable so that they can be removed whenever desirable and new walls putin their places. This arrangement is useful for advertising purposes. New 4advertising n iatter may be used as often as desirable and the receptacles do not havo to be carried to the paintors shop when the advertising inatter is tobe changed.

The door S constitutes one of the sidewalls. The door is 'formed ol ilat bars S l'ora l'raine and pockets 7 attached thereto' to receive wall portion S. The door is hinged to the outer receptacle by hinges 9 and a lockingl device is provided which consists of sockets 10 attached to the wall oll the outer receptacle and a socket 10 attached to the door.. A key 10' is inserted in the sockets when they are brought into alineinent with each other.A

The top is provided with lautomatically closing doors 15. The doors .15 have flanges 17 which are bent over bars 18' which are pivotally mounted in the staples or loo s flanges -17 and thus hold the doors 15 normally closed, but are yielding so that the doors' may be 'pressed open to receive trash.
