.and State of Wisconsin, neve invented oert'ain new and useiui Improvements 'in ur tainflixtures; and i do herehv deeia're that theiollowing is a full, clear, and erect. doscrition thereoi'.
The' ohjeot of my invention is to provide and durable combination. curtain'- pole` and shade-miler iixture, the Construction andar'rangement of the fixture being such that it is capable of receiving oies of varios sizes and is adjustable to izierent The. invention therefore consists in certain peouiiiirstructural features and combination oi?, parts as herein illustrated, described and claimed Inithe drawings: Figure 1 represents Ia perspeqtive view 'of a fixture embodying the l 'features oi' my invention, the fixture being shown liniconnection with a window-casenient'r and Fig. 2, a cross-section through theadjustahle shank-portion of the iixture.
'Referring by numerals to the drawings, 1 indieaites afoot that is secured at the outer edge of *a window-casing,.and an arm ."2 oil which foot extends over the face oi' the easing and has its edges bent over toi'ormiianges or guides 3 for a shank Li oi' the fixture. The shank is provided with a slot 5 through which extends a threaded stud 6 ol' the arni, there being a nut 7 in threaded engagement with the stud by means oi' which the xtureshank is held in its adj usted position between the iianges or guide 3 of the arm.
A `braoket-portion 8 projects upward and at alight-angie to the shank, the base 9 of which bracket is provided with a slotted `aperture 1() for the reception of the spindle of a spring-controlled enrtai-n-roilerfnot shown. l Scroll-ngers 11 12, proeot from the bracket-base 9 at opposite si esof the slot, and these fingers at their upper ends web 13, Whioh web forms a socket or rest for curtain-poles of small diameter. The linahove the web 13 are flanged and their inner faces curved to' iforrn portions oi' serniciroularsooiiet 14 much larger in diameter than that formed by said web.v The lust named socket boing provided for Curtainl poles oil'argor diameter and r-oinnmnij,r vorni posed ol' wood, while the smaller socket is adapted to support nietaiiie onrtainaods or the like.
From the foregoing; description and draw ings it will he seen that the V[iXture as a whole has an ornamental scroll eli'oot, while at the same time its various curves and we'os are each designed to maiorm a 'i`unction, it boing understood that tho 'lixtures are used in pairs.
A combination' 'fixture l'or shade-rollers and curtain-voies comprising a bracket having a siotteri shank and a slotted baseportion 'extending at a right-angie thereto, 1in gers projecting from the linswportion, a semiciroular weh eonnerting the lingers to 4l'orrn a socket, the upper ends of the fingers being flared to `forno a second semi-circular socket above the first named socket, a i'oot adapted to he secured to the odge of a window-casing, the foot heilig provided with a fianged armu extension at a right-anglo thereto and arranged to extend over the i'are or" a windowrasing and 'receive the slotted shank oi' the braexet, a threaded stud extending from the arm through the shank-slot, and a nut engageahie with the stud vfor securing tiie shank and arm together.
:in testin'iony that .i claim the foregoing i have hereunto set my hand at ii'liiwauhee, `in the county ol"l\lil\\'aukee and State oi' i Viiseonsin in the presente oi' two witnesses.
