IMPROVED FOOT-COMFORTER.
The Schedule referred to :in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all whom it, 'may concern.-
Be it known that l, GEORGE W. Ro'rHRooK, of Mifflin, in the county of J uniata, and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Improveu and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description thereof', referencebeiug had to the accompanying drawing, making apart of this specification, in which- Figure 1` is a perspective View of my improved footcomforter; v

These insulators are of such height that they will keep the soles b b a little above the door, and free from Contact with the moisture or dampuess of the car-floor.
As already stated, when not in use, the opposite V halves of the shoe are folded together, as in 6g.. 3, the crease or joint e in the sole permitting this, and then can be conveniently stowed away in a valise, carpetbag, or capacous pocket. The ,jointe may be made by creasing the leather of the sole, or by uniting the two halves, so as to give a folding joint.
What- I claimas my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
A foot-'comforter or shoe, having folding soles b b', and insulators, d d', one or more on each half sole, substantially as and for the uses above yset forth.
