Specification of Letter! Patent.
Patented Jan. 5, 1909.
Application filed July 2a. 1900. latte-1R0. 325.264.
To allrwho'm it. concerns Be it known that I, Rosa A. S'roxnmcitizenof the United States, residing at Bethlehem, in the connty'of Litchfield and Stateof Connecticut, have invented new and useful -fully hereinafter described.
In the accompanyin drawings: Figure 1 is a front elevation of a pocket embodying the invention. Fig. 2 is a central, vertical section taken on the line 2-2 of Fig. 1;.
Referring to the drawings, 1 designates the pocket having an open mouth 2 and composed of suitable material 3 which ma be in the nature of cloth, silk or jet, and is sewed or otherwise attached at the upperedge of its rear wall by an'ornamental metal frame 4, 'said pocket'being provided with an interlining 5 of chamois skin or 'other'soft' pliable material which willobviate scratching or similarly defacing the watch caseduringits insertion to or removal from the pocket.
By attaching the pocket to the garment of the wearer, I employ an ornamental pin 6 from which the pocket is suspended by flexible elements or chains 7 terminally en: gaged with eyes 8 and 9 formed respectively on the body of the pin and the frame4.
I wish it to be understood that the rear portion or wall of the pocket extends above the front portion thereof so as to prevent applied for use t marrmg pocket,- and further I construct the upper surface of the front portion or wall of the tion ofthe watch through the mouth and into the pocket:
garment of the wearer through the medium of the pin 6 and chains for re'ce 1v1ng and carrying the watch, which, 1t will be open mouth 2, be readily inserted 'or removed, asdesired; It is to be particularly or removing it from the pocket will be obviated, and further, that the pocket-as a whole will present a highly ornamental and attractive appearance.-
Havin thus what I c aim: is:
ocket constructed of an prising a watch t pliable material and-an inner lining of" so tion or Wall of the ocket beingextended above the front portion or wall thereof, a metal piece secured to the upper edge of the extended portion of the rear wall, fleviserves to suspend the pocket, said pocket having an open mouth, and said front wall of the pocket having its upper portion flaring or inclined ouwardly for the serf ion of the watch 'throueh'them'outh and info said pocket, substantially as specified.
In testimony whereof,jI aflix my signature in presence of twowitnesses.
