Letters Potent No. 90,704, dated Jfmw 1,= 1869.
IMPROVEMENT IN COMBINED PUNCH AND SCREW-DRIVER.
The Schedule referred -to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all'whom it may concern Be it known that I, S. D. TUTTLE, of Eaton, in the county of Preble, and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Punchpaud Screw-Driver Combined; 'and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification, and in which is represented a perspective view of my screwdriver and punch combined.
The nature of my invention consists in the employment of a metal bar, provided with rectangular projections, forged solidwith the said har, so as to act as punches, and in constructing one or both ends of the said bar in the shape of a screw-driver.
To enable others to make and use my invention, I will now describe its construction and operation.
In the accompanying drawing- A represents a metal bar, which iscast solid, with I three or more rectangular projections, b b.
These projections are formed -on'each side of the bar, one side 'being made as punches,and the other side, a aas receptacles for the hammer.
The barA is formed, at one or both ends, .with a screw-driver, O, so that (the device can answer either for a punch or screw-driver.
Having thus described my invention, What I cla-im as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-.
The bar A, provided with rectangular projections b b and screw-driver C, substantially in the manne-r Vand for the purpose described.
