IMPROVED NECK-YOKE.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 90,174, dated May 18, 1869.

To all whom t't may concern:

Be it known that I, WESLEY HULL, of Fort Wayne, in the county of Allen and State of Indiana, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Neck-Yoke; and I do hereby declare that the followingis a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification, in which is represented a plan view of my neck-yoke.

The nature of my invention consists in attaching to each end of the yoke ferrules provided with friction-rollers, as and for the purposehereinafter specified.

To enable others skilled in the art to which my invention appertains to make and use the same, I will now describe its construction and operation.

In the accompanying drawing, Arepresents the yoke, to the center of which is attached th e band B, provided with projection a, through which is passed the ring 0, for the tongue of the vehicle to enter. b b represent ferrules secured to each end of the yoke, and are formed with projections b 1), into which are pivoted the friction-rollers d d, as seen in the drawing. Over these friction rollers are passed the breast-straps. By this arrangement the fric- .tion is transferred from the strap to the roller.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
