`The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part cf the sand.
Be it known that I, WILLIAM V. VAN SYGKEL, of the town of Joshua, in the county of Fulton, and State of Illinois, have invented a new Fence-Gauge for building board fence; and I do hereby-declare l that the following Vis a full and clear description of the f construction land use'ofthe same, reference being had to the annexed drawings, making apart of this speci- `ication, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view, showing two fencegauges, as used in building board fence.. To enable others to make and use my invention, I will proceed to describe its construction and operation, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.
I construct my fencefgauge of two pieces of timber,
l of suitable size and length, marked E E, and held stationary and parallel by block O.
The two pieces E E, below block C, clasp the sides of board that is nailed to posts, and are made to clasp edges of board by wedge D.
