Bc it known that I, WILLIAM B. J ONES, of Cincinnati, Hamilton county, Ohio, have invented a new and useful Article of Furniture; and I hereby declare the following to be a full, clear-,and exact description i thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making part `oi'this specification The subject of this invention is anew and useful articleof furniture, which in one arrangement of its i parts forms an elegant sofa, and which, by a few easy changes, can beV made assume, at will, the form of ,a lounge or a table.

` seat-rail, and serving in the depressed condition of said arms to support the same iu the reclined and horizontal positions respectively, suitable for a lounge.

The arms are secured to their upright position b` y bolts H, which enter the standards B B.

The piece of furniture is convertedvto a table by simplyretracting the bolt N, and giving a quarter rotation to the table upon `its 'pivotsY I, until it reaches the `position shown inl flg. 3, so as to rest. upon the arms `F and G. i

I reserve the `right to vary the same in 'non-essential particulars; for example, spring or cupboard-catches may be used in place of thebolts H and N.

- A mirror may be panelled in the under' sideY of the table.

The table and back maybe in one piece, Vif desired, and may be used Without the depressible'arms.

The inner surfaces of the sofa may have any prei ferred or customary finish, such as upholstering,

caning, 8vo.

This piece of furniture may be given various forms., as taste or circumstances may suggest; for example, the'seat-frame may be shortened so'asto form a convertible arm and lounging-chair.
