Be it known that I, SAMANTHA J. Buen, a citizen of the United States, residing at Denver, in the county of Denver and State of Colorado, have invented a new and useful Improvement in a Mo -Head and Wringing Attachment, of whic the following is a specification.

This invention relates to mops and more particularly ,to mop head and Wrin ing attachment, the object being to provi e a mop which can be easily and quickly Wrung when desired.

Another object ofmy invention is to provide very. novel operating means adapted to be secured on a pail for'operating the wringing rollers. v

With these and other objects in view, the

'invention consists in the novel features of construction, combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter fully described .and pointed out in the claims.

In the drawings forming a part of this specification: lFigure 1 is a front elevational view of my improved frame which carries a mop cloth in position to be wrung by the operating means. Fi 2 is a side elevational view of my improved evice showing the mop head supported by the wringing attachment and the mop cloth in position to be wrung. Fig. 3 is a detail vertical sectional view of Fig. 1, and Fig. 4 is a detail sectional view of a modification.

In the drawings A indicates thev mop frame provided with a central socket A', on the top-cross A2 in which is secured an ordinary handle B. The sides A3 of the frame are provided with inwardly projectin flanges A4, between the lower ends of W ich are secured the journal-blocks C formed adjacent each end of a eross-barO, in which are mounted the ends of a shaft D, carrying a rubber pressure roller D. shaft D are bifurcated as shown at D2, and a slot is formed in the side of the frame in alinement with the shaft for the purpose hereinafter described.

Mounted on the roller D is a rubber roller E carried by a shaft E, the ends of which are mounted in ournal-blocks F, slidably mounted between the flanges of the sides of the frame. A frame provided with forked shaped arms K is adapted to be arranged over a pail X, the forked arm being securely clamped over the edge of the pail by thumb-screws K working in threaded openings in the outer fork of the arm K, provided with pivotedclamping plates at their end, adapted to engage the outside of the pail. The sides J of the frame J are provided with flanged upper ends and inwardly projecting flanged sides J2, forming guide-ways in which the sides of the mop-frame are adapted to fit and be securely held when the mop is being wrung. In the modification shown in Fig. 4, a bowed spring l? is arranged under the crossbar of the mop-frame, the ends of which bear against the bearing member F, for holding the rollers together.

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 1. The combination with a mop head provided with pressure rollers, of a frame adapted to receive s aid mop head and means carried by said frame for operating said rollers. 2. The combination with a frame provided with guide-ways, of a mop head adapted to fit in said guide-ways, shafts carrying pressing rollers carried by said mop head, one of said shafts having a bifurcated end, and a shaft carried by the frame adapted to engage the bifurcated end of the shaft above mentioned.

3.
