Be it known that I, FORREST ADnIToN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Flowery Branch, in the county of Hall and State of Georgia, have invented a new and useful Improvement in a Folding Safe, of

which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to a folding knock down'safe or cupboard and the object of the invention is an article of furniture of this kind which can be knocked down or folded.

in constructing my safe I form the ends A in two vertical sections hinged together as shown at A. The hinges A are upon the outside of the safe and the ends Aare hinged upon the inside by hinges B to the back and front of the safe respectively.

The safe is provided with removable shelves D, and front doors C and the drawer C. The shelves D and the guide ways for" the drawer C may be secured in place by an of the many common means ofsecuringsuc devices. The top E is provided upon its under face with a rib E and u on its front marginal portion with a short rib E spaced from the rib E. When the to is in place the rib E which extends aroun three sides of the top fits over the front and ends of the safe and the u per front edge also rests between the rib and the adjacent art of the rib E When the safe is to be s ip ed the 'ends can'be folded inwardly upon eac other as shown in Figs. 2, 3 and 4 thus making a very compact package and when set up in use the top E, shelves and drawer will serve to lock the ends A in their normal position and make the entire device rigid.

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

A folding safe consisting of a back formed in one piece, sides, each side being formed in two pieces, and hinged to fall inwardly upon the back and upon themselves, a front formed in one piece and bin ed to the sides, said front being cut out at t e top and bottom, and cut out transversely across its center, doors hinged in the top and bottom cut out portions, and a drawer adapted to slide through the central cut out portion.
