The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the asma Be it known that 1, J. GEORGE JUNG, of Newark, Essex county, State of New Jersey, have invented a new Chain, which I denominate The Double Wire- Link Mail Chain, as anew article of manufacture for jewelry, as well as other purposes: and I hereby declare that the following is a full and clear description thereof', reference being taken to the annexed drawings, in which- Figure l is a front view of a single link or member of. the chain;

Figure 2, a sectional view of the said link or mem ber;

Figure 3, a geometrical view; and

Figure 4, a perspective view of the chain.

Each link ofthe chain consists of a pair of double loops, such as'shown in fig. 1 bent of wire, and placed parallel to each other, and each pair of. such loops, forming one link of the chain, is interlooped with each member of the succeeding link; but the members of the succeeding link,` `which also consists of two such double loops, such as shown in fig. 2, are placed at right angies with the membersof the preceding link, and so on.

In order to interloop the two double loops, forming one linkv of the chain, to the preceding link, the said double loops must be left open, as shown in iig. 3, in red lines, in which shape they can vbe interlooped with the members of the preceding link, and when such interlooping has been accomplished, the said double loops may be closed to the shape as shown in fig. l, and the rest of the drawings, in black lines.

What I claim therein as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent,is

The herein-described double wire-link mail chain,

each link of the chain consisting of two double loops,`

and interlooped with the succeeding pair of members,
