HOLDER FOR HOOKS AND EYES.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Jan. 28, 1908.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRANK M. DOLEZAL, a resident of Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Holders for Hooks and Eyes; and I do hereby declare the following to a be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it pertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to means for holding or displaying small articles like hooks and eyes, and has for its object to simplify and cheapen devices for this purpose.
The invention consists in the construction hereinafter described and particularly pointed out.
In the accompanying drawing which illustrates the invention,-Figure 1 is a plan view of the preferred form of device attached to a card; Figs. 2, 3 & 4 are similar views showing modified forms of the device; Fig. 5 is an enlarged section of the holder on line 5, 5 of Fig. l Fig. 6 is an enlarged end view of the holder; Fig. 7 is an enlarged section of the holder on line 7, 7 of Fig. 2 or Fig. 3; Fig. 8 is a similar section on line 8, 8 of Fig. 2.
Numeral 1 denotes a card and Ila a hookand-eye holding attachment thereto. This holder is made of Wire in one piece and is adapted to hold a large number of articles such as'named, in manner preventing their accidental escape while permitting easy removal of the same at will.
2 denotes a hook portion at the junction of the members 3 and 4 of theholder, which hook provides for attaching the device to a card or the like in any of the manners indicated in the drawing.
-Each of the members 3 and 4 has a portion 6 bent back toward the hook and crossed substantially as shown. Preferably these crossed parts lie between or within the main parts of the side members. They are crossed or overlapped at 7 and are there normally in contact to prevent articles, such as hooks or eyes strung thereon from slipping off accidentally. Said parts 6 yield readily to permit the Stringing of articles on the holder, and return to their original situation when relieved from pressure, or they may be bent back to normal situation if required. It is obvious that were the parts 6 extended across the members 3 and 4 and made to lie against them as in Figs. 2, 3, 4, similar guard against escape of the articles would be provided.
y The form indicated in Fig. 1 is deemed preferable because it leaves no free wire ends outside the main parts of members 3 and 4.
The particular construction may be varied substantially as indicated without material departure from the invention but the preferred form is shown in Figs. 1 and 5.
What I claim is- 1. In a hook-and-eye holder made of a single piece of wire, side members with bent ends to receive small articles, said ends being overlapped and in contact with each other to retain the articles, and a hook for attachment to the edge of a card, said hook being situated in approximately the same plane as said side members and between them Whereby it can be easily manipulated to be closely fitted to a card on both faces thereof.

In a hook-and-eye holder made of a single piece of wire, side members with bent ends to receive small articles, said ends being overlapped and in contact with each other to retain the articles, and a hook for attachment to the edge of a card, said hook being situated in approximately the same plane as said side members and between them Whereby it can be easily manipulated to be closely fitted to a card and on both faces thereof, in combination with a' card.
