Be itknown that I, SANronn '1. Been LAND, a citizen of the United States, residing at Hebron, in the county of Licking and 5 State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Cen'ient-Molds, of which the following is a specification.

l/Vith the above and other objects in view the present invention consists in theco'n'ibination and arrangement of parts hereinafter 2o referred to, illustrated in the accompanying drawings, and particularly pointed out in the appended claims, it being understood that changes in the form, proportion, size, and minor details may be resorted to within the scope of the claii'ns without departing from the spirit or sacrificing any of the advantages of the invention. i In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of my invention, the cover being broken 0 away. Referring new role particularly to the accompanying drawings, the reference characo tr; 1 indicates a bottom board having one end enlarged, as at 2. Between the shoulders 3 of the enh rged portion 2 of the bottoin board and the opposite end of the latter and, upon each side are eyes 4 for a purpose i5 presently, understood. There is an eye 5 upon each side or the enlarged portion 2, with eyesfi at the outer end thereof. There is also eye '7 at the upper end of the bottom board.

The lower end ol the sides each has a projc tion 11 depending from its under edge for engagement in the aforesaid eyes 5, there being similar projections 12 depending from the under edges ol" each side above the aforesaid sponding eyes -1- ol the bottom board.
The lower end member 13 has a pair of projections 13 at its under edge for engagement inthe eyes 6 of the bottom hoard, while the upper end member 14 has a projection 15, depending from its under edge for engagement in the eye 7 at the upper end ol the base or bottom board.
The peculiar connection between the side and end and bottom members precludes the necessity of means for preventing the side and end members from falling outwardly. l'lowever, suitable clamping means may be employed, if desired. For instance, bolts 16 may connect the side members in such manner as to engage or he in close proximity to the outer faces of the end members of the mold. When these bolts are employed, the side and end members will be clamped tightly in place. The top board 17 which forms one face of the mold,'may be secured in place in any suitable manner.
A modified form of connection between the side and bottom members is shown in Fig. 6. For instance, the side members may each have outwardlydirected projections 18, adapted to engage in the eyes 19, secured along the side edges of the bottom board in any suitable manner. In all other respects the mold is the same as that hereinbefore described.
The mold may be formed of wood, metal, or any other suitable inaterial, and it may be used for molding monuments, as well as fence-posts.
