To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that we, Anon BRA NBTEIN, asubjeet of the Kingof Roumania, and ANGEL RATTINER, a citizen of the United States, residents of the borough of Brooklyn, city and State of New York, have invented eertain new and useful Improvements in Antiseptie Sh{Wing-Brushes, of which the Following is a full clear, and complete disclosure.
The object of our invention is to provid :1.
shaving-brush with a brush portion or mom-- bar which can be used but once and being in'ipregnated with an antiseptic soap or similar solution will in itself provide the soap for lather.
- A further object of our invention is to provide means for keeping said brush member antiseptic at all times before being used and after once being used it cannot be used again without the fact of such use being indirated to the subsequent user. W'e attain this object by the arrangement oF parts and eonstruc-tion described in the following speeilieation and shown in the aeroinpaln 'ing drawings, forming a part thereof, said Sllf'llllf'il. tion and (.lrawings showing one embodiment of our invention which at the present time is deemed preferable by us.
In the drawings, Figure l is a longitudinal sectional View of the brush and its handle, showing the brush member removed from said handle and the envelop or easing also partially removed from the brush. Fig. 2 is a side elevation of ourdeviee, showing the arrangen'lent of parts immediately before use. Fi 3 is a transverse sectional view taken sulistantially upon the line 25 3 of Fig. 2. Fig. 4 is a detached sectional view of the brush member of the shaving-brush.
Referring to the drawings, the letter/indieates a suitable handle or holder, in one end of whirh is u. soelu-t or rer-ess 1!, having a spring I ntlnehed to one side tbereol for the purpose of holding l lu. brush mrmbr-r ill [be shaving-brush rvmovnbly within the soi'lo'l. The bind ing-cap e is made of paper or similar material which will heroine soltened when water is applied to the brush, and therefore after being used the'l'rrisliles are no longer held together by the band.
The letter 4? indicates a easing or envelop which is adapted to inelose the bristles or fibers of the brush and ireler2iblv forms a part of the eap e before being removed from the bristles.
in the use of our improved shuving-brush the (nip 0 is first inserted into the socket a, where it is l'rirtionally retained by the spring I). The envelop or easing e is then torn or rut away, whieh exposes the bristles or fibers (1. so that the some may be used immediately by applying water and forming at lather in the usual way.
it will be notired that the bristles, rap, and envelop may be provided as :1 single article of mannl'nrture, substantially in the l'orm of :L Partridge, and a number ol these rurlridges may be supplied with a single handle or liolthi'. v
