Specification of Letters Patent,
Patented June 12, 1906.
Application filed June '7, 1904:. Serial No. 211,478.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HARRY CLARK, a citi- Zen of the United States of America, and a resident of St. Paul, in the county of Ramsey and State of Minnesota, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Watch- Holders, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to improvements in watch-holders, and has for its object a device that is simple in construction and effective in use for holding a watch with its face exposed to view.
In the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, Figure 1 is a sectional view of my invention, showing a watch having an open face therein; and Fig. 2 is a front view of the holder shown in Fig. 1.
In the drawings let A represent the holder, which consists, primarily, of a horizontal base 2, an inclined frame 3, and means for holding the watch on said .base and frame. In the drawings these elements consist of an inclosure formed by two telescopic sections 4 and 5. The section 4 is closed upon its lower end to form the base 2 and slides into the section 5,- which is closed at its upper end. These sections are respectively formed with circular openings 7, which coincide to expose the face of the watch B, which stands in the sections, as shown in Fig. 1. The sections are made of suitable dimensions for the watch to fitsnugly therein, and the base 2 is formed at an oblique angle to the upper and lower sides of the sections. The open end of the upper section is also cut at a corresponding angle to the base. This angle is adjusted so that the frame, with the watch therein, will stand in reclining position, as shown in Fig. 1, when placed upon a suitable support.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to ters Patent, is y A holder of the class set forth, consisting of two telescopic inclosing sections, the end of one section being closed and arranged obliquely to its upper and lower sides to support the holder in inclined position, and an opening passing through the upper sides of said sections, for the purposes specified.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
HARRY CLARK.
