Letters Patent'No. 80,827, dated August 11, 1868 IMPROVEMENT IN WAGON-SEAT,
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that I, ISRAEL KINNEY, of Detroit, in the con'nty of Wayne, and State of Michigan, have invented a new and usefu'l Improvement in Wagon-Seats; and I do declare that the following is a true and accurate description thereof, reference heing'had to the accompanying drawings, and to theletters of reference marked thereon, and being a part of this specification, a V
Figure 1 is a, viewof the front of my improved seat, Figure 2 is a rear view of the same, and The same letters indicate likeparts in each figure. Thenature of this invention is to construct the side same or stamping the same from any desired inetal.
In order to accomplish this end, I cast or'stamp the-sides or arms and back, A, of a seat, in any desired form, and from any suitable metal, provided with a, flange, C, to which to attachthewooden seat B, with or without a curtain, D, or ribs or IngsE, by means of which to attach a. top. The curtain may be separate, or stamped or cast together with theback and arms, and is designed to cover and hide the edge of the seat-bottom. The ribs E may he used, if required, toattachan elevated or lazy back to the seat.
What I claim as my invention, end desire to secure by'Letters Pntent, is- The ribsor lugs E, when constructed and connected as herein set forth.
