IMPROVBD HARNESS-RING.

'ro ALL WHOM IT MAY CONGERN:

Beit known that I, GEORG H. BUGKIUS, of Canton, in the county of Stark, and'State of Ohio, have invented an Improved"Harness-Ring; and I do hereby deelarethat the following is a full, clear, and exact description of my invention, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, and yto theV letters of reference marked thereon, of which drawings- Figure 1 is an elevation of my improved ring.

Figure 2 is a plan of the same.

Figures 3 and 4 are elevation and plan, showing the application of my improved ring.

The nature of my invention consists in the construction of a ring, with one or more arms on its periphery, said arms being of such form as to be sewed in between the news of stitches at the sides of the leather to which the ring is attached, whereby any sliding of the leather aro'uhd the ring is prevented; and where two-,br more straps are attached to the same ring, and an ar'mis used incombination with each strap, the straps are maintained in their relative positions .with respect to each other and to :the ring, which is very advantageous in many places in a harness, las ivell as in halters, and other articles of a similar class. To enable others skilled in `the art to make and use my invention, I will proceed to describe its construe; tion and application. l v V The ring A is composed of malleable iron, or any other suitable material, andhasarranged'on its peripherythe arms' B, which are cast vvith the ring A, or attached to it'in any other suitable manner. l l

Thse arms B are of'au elongated flattened form, of lany suitable length, and can be arrangedon the ring A in any suitable manner.

When the ring is applied to use, as, for instance, at the connectionA of the' nosepiec'e and head-pieces of a halter, the straps C are turned over the ring and one arm, as shown, and the Whole is secured 4in Yposition by -the rows of stitches c c, at each side of the strap C, and on each side of the arm B, as. shown.

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, anddesire to secure by Letters Patent,is-
