CURTAIN-FIXTURE.
SPEIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent N 0. 4758,216, dated April 26, 1904.
Application filed April l0, 1903` Serial No. 152,081. (No model.)
To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that we, CHRISTIAN REIss and WILLIAM G. BEADBURY, oi'v 35 Inwood avenue, Highbridge, New York city, New York county, New York State, have invented a new and Improved Curtain-Fixture, of which the following is a full, clear, and. exact descrip-1 tion.
The invention relates to supports for shaderollers, curtains, te.; and-its object is to provide a new and improved curtain-dx ture which is simple and durable in construction and arranged for convenlent attachment to the wIndow or door frame or other article to securely hold or support the shade or curtain roller in place.
The invention consists of one piece of sheet metal bent and twisted in such a way as to be able to attach it to the window or door frame with ease and Without any damage to the front woodwork whatever, as will be hereinafter described and then pointed out in the claim.
dReference is to be had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specioation,
in which similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in all the figures.
y osets Gr, which have downwardly-extending teeth B, formed by stamping down portions of the offsets, adapted to be driven into the top of the Window-frame, doorframe, or other support. The bodies P P rest throughout their length on the front face of the support H, and at the lower ends of said bodies are forwardly-extending portions D, formed with a half-twist, as at E, which carry keepers F, adapted to support the ends of the shade or curtain roller I, as plainly illustrated in Fig. l.
It will be seen that the entire curtain-fixture can be readily attached to the windowframe,'doori'rame, or other support H by y simply driving the teeth B into the top of the edge of the said support, so that the bodies P P. rest flush on the front face of the support.
Having thus fully described our invention, we claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent-- Y A curtain fixture provided with a body adapted to rest on the face of the support the upper end of 'said body being formed'with a widened offset, two downwardly-extending teeth or spurs punched out of the widened offset, and a forwardly-extending projection at the lower end of the curtain-fixture with a bend and a half-twist carrying a keeper, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof wehave signed our names to this speciiioation in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
