Beit known that we, LEVI B. The nature ol' our invention consists in the construction of the hull of o bont or vessel in sections, in the manner hereinafter described. -4

It is designed that ench section shall be of the size of en ordinary cnnnl-boa.t, und require a. crew no larger. When it is required to pass through locks the sections :tre sent through separately, and united again on the other'side.
