TO alt whom it mayconcern:
Beit known that LCHARLESLOUIS KOENIG, a citizen of the United States, residing at San y Antonio, in the county of Bexar and State of Texas, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Blind-stops; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which IO it appertains to make and usethe same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this Specification. l
v Myiinvention relates to improvements in blind-stops, and has for its object to provide a simple, strong, and cheap device of this kind. i
Improved details in the construction and arrangement of the several partsof my invention will be apparent from the detailed description hereinafter and the appended claim, when taken in connection with the acbolt. Ward somewhat, binding it tightly in'the eyethe rod 7 and is provided With notches 8 and 8 An eyebolt 9, through which the rod 8 passes, is Screwed into the frame 5 and en- 'gages the notch 8 when the slats are in the position shown in Fig. 1. When the slats are closed, as shown in Figs. 2 and 3, and it is desired to hold them 5 in this position,'I employ a lateh 10, which engages the notch S and secnrely holds the rod 8. The lateh 10 is pivoted in a plate 10, secured to the frame 5. y
It will be seen that my device is extremely simple and inexpensive and may be applied to any blind.
Having thus described my invention, what is claimed as new, and desired to be secured by Letters Patent, is
A blind-stop comprising a rod secured to the blind-rod, an eyebolt secured to the blind- -frame through which the rod passes, a notch in the rod engaged by the eyebolt to hold the blind-Slate in open position, another notch in the rod, and a lateh pivoted to the blindframe to engage this notch for holding the -blind-slats in closed position, suhstantially as described.
