SPECIFICATION forming part of lLetters Patent No. 720,467, dated February 10, 1903.
Application iled December 17,1902. Serial No. 185,581. (No model.)
- which will hold various articles separatelyfor instance, small change in one compartment and paper money in the other one. Access may be had to either compartment independently of the other one.
In order to make the invention more readily understood, I will now describe it with reference to the accompanying sheet of drawings.
Figure l represents a plan elevation of the case with both cover-flaps open. Fig. 2 is a vertical elevation of Fig. l. Fig. 3 is a side elevation of the case, and Fig. 4. is a sectional elevation of a modification.
The case is made up of the two frames A and B, connected parallel to one another by means of the collapsible or foldable frame C and covered with suitable material. To each frame is hinged a cover-flap D and E, respectively, which are made to shut unto the frames in any suitable manner. As shown, by way of example, the cover-flaps are provided with a catch I, which upon the cover being closed engages a corresponding catch part provided on the respective frame and is released again by the frame being depressed at the catch portion. A partition or bottom F is fitted into the collapsible frame C,'and pockets G and II may be provided upon the inner face of the frame-coverings.
By reason of the fold C the case will evenly it is obvious that I may extend the same principle to receptacles for receiving letters, photographs, or the like or to satchels, bags, trunks, or the like.
What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
1. A pocket-case, comprising two rigid` frames, suitable coverings to said rigid frames, a collapsible frame connecting the said rigid frames parallel to one another, a partition tted into the said collapsible frame, covers hinged to the said rigid frames, and means for keeping the said covers shut unto the said rigid frames, substantially as and for the purpose set forth.
2. A pocketcase, comprising two rigid frames, suitable coverings to said frames, pockets on the inside of said coverings, a collapsible frame connecting the said rigid frames parallel to one another, a partition fitted into the said collapsible frame, covers hinged to the said rigid frames, and means for keeping the said covers shut unto the said rigid frames, substantially as and for the purpose set forth. Y
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
