a device of this character that will be extremely simple in construction, strong, durable, comparatively inexpensive to manufacture, and highly efiicient in its use.
With the above and other objects in view the invention consists in the novel combination and arrangement of parts to be hereinafter more fully described, and specifically pointed out in the claims.
In describing the'invention in detail reference is had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, and wherein like numerals of reference indicate like parts throughout both views, in which Figure l.is a perspective view of an ironing-board with my improved attachment secured thereto in position. Fig. 2 is a vertical sectional fragmentary view of my improved device.
In the drawings the reference-numeral 1 represents the ironing-board, and 2 the standards or supports thereof. 3 represents a in contact with the fioor and in which the clothes may be placed, ifdesired. The free ends of the rods 6 '7 are suspended in any desired manner.
It will be seen that my improved device maybe compactly folded when not in use and may be adjusted to any desired position when the ironing-board is in use. a
The many advantages obtained by the use of my improved device will be readily apparent from the foregoing description, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings.
It will be noted that various changes may be made in the details of construction with out departing from the general spirit of my invention.'
Having fully described my invention, what ,I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is"

2. An attachment for ironing-boards comprising a brace secured to the under face of the ironing-board and projecting from the side thereof, a series of pivoted links carried by the brace, a rod secured to the outer of said links and a second rod carried by said links adjacent to the ironing-board, and an apron connected by itsends tosaid'rod's, substantially as described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in the presence of two witnesses. X
