To provide for a greater range of adjustment, the supplemental bar may be provided with one or more additional openings 15 for the reception of the fastening 10, as will be understood. Moreover, the device is located exteriorly of the stovepipe, and therefore does not interfere with the draft therethrough and does not require any change in the pipe or the formation of perforations therein.

What I claim is In a stovepipe-faslener, a main bar, having its outer end bent or folded into a hook, opposite longitudinal flanges upon the opposite side of the bar from the hook, and also a longitudinal slot located between the flanges, a supplemental bar slidable longitudinally upon the main bar and between the flanges thereof, and also projecting longitudinally at the inner end of the main bar, an outwardly-extending clamp-shoulder provided at the outer projecting end of the supplemental bar, and

an inwardly-directed hook located upon the inner side of the outer end of said bar, the latter also having a plurality of perforations, a substantially L-shaped Wall-clamp slidable upon the outer side of the supplemental bar and between the flanges of the main bar, cooperating with the outwardly-directed clampshoulder, and also provided with a longitudinal slot, a headed screw-threaded fastening, carried by the supplemental bar and projecting through one of the perforations thereof, the head of the fastening being, located upon the outer side of the main bar and the adjacent shank portion being, slidahle in the slot of the main bar, and a nut provided upon the outer projecting, end of the fastening and to bind against the outer side of the L-shaped clamp.
