TOvAIiL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that I, WALTER S. PEEFER, of Carlisle, in the county of Cumberland, and State of lennsylvania, have invented a new and improved BootJaek; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, making a part of this speciiication, in which- I Figure 1 is a perspective view; and
Figure 2, a longitudinal section.
I construct my boot-jack out of any suitable material. The part A is made in the usual form, having a foot, C, to which is hinged the part B B; at F it is provided with a 4movable toe-piece, D, which is acted on either with a spiral, E, or gumelastic spring, I. The toe-piece is secured to the movable block H, which is kept in place with two metal strips, G Gr. The object of the hinge F is to fold the two parts together in a compact.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is- A boot-jack with the two parts hinged together at F, and the part B B provided with a movable toe-piece. D, acted on by any suitable sprmg, substantially as specified within.` i WALTER S. PEFFER.
