SPRING-CLASP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 610,967, dated September 20, 1898.
Application filed $eptember 23, 1897. Serial No. 652,710. (No model.)
7 To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, GEORGE HILL, a subject of the Queen of Great Britain, and a resident of Ledbury, in the county of Hereford, England, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Clips, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact specification.
This invention consists of a new or improved clip for connecting articles together and also for use as whatis known asa trousers-clip.
In order that my invention may be fully understood, I will now refer to the annexed drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective View of my improved clip in its open position, and Fig. 2 a perspective view of same when in its closed position.

Having thus described my invention,what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Pat cut, is
A clip consisting of a piece of elastic material bent approximately to an N shape; a support attached to one of the limbs; a pivoted locking-piece carried by said support and having a prolongation for the purpose of bringing the clipping ends together when the locking-piece is operated, substantially as described and illustrated herein.
