SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent N o. 605,505, dated J une 14, 1898.

To a/ZZ whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, MAY MURRAY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Detroit, in the county of Vayne and State of Michigan, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Gloves; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear7 and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to 'make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification.`

This invention relates to new and useful improvements in gloves; and it consists in the Figure l represents an inside view of a glove made in accordance with -my invention. Fig. 2 is a side View of a glove incasing a handand grasping a handle, lever, or other similar object; and Fig. 3 is an enlarged detail showing the particular formation of the woven-wire fabric which is attached to the glove.

r It is found best to leave spaces between the metal fabric on the inside of the ngers `and thumb and the palm-piece, so that the fingers may be easily closed. It is intended that this metal fabric shall be secured to the glove in the places mentioned in any desired manner, as bysewing, stitching, or otherwise securing.
