IMPROVED ADJUSTABLE RAILWAY-CAR SEAT.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 58,713, dated October 9, 1866.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, W. N. BRAGG, of Riclr mond, Henrico county, Virginia, have invented new and useful Improvements in Adjustable Chairs for Railway-Oars; and I do hereby declare the following to be an exact description thereof, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings,and to the letters of reference marked thereon, making a part of this specification, in which Figure 1. represents a side elevation of the chair. Fig. 2 represents the shape of the slot in the scroll of the rest. Fig. 3 exhibits the shape of the foot-rest.
The nature of my invention consists in a curved-shaped iron rest, that supports the chair and allows the chair to be adjusted to a proper inclination as a sitting or sleeping chair; also, the construction of an adjustable foot-rest attached to and combined with the curved iron rest.
