SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 576,150, dated February 2, 1897.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, CHAUNOEY MANLEY RATHBUN, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Fredonia, in the county of Chautauqua and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Mucilage-Bottles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof, in which similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts wherever found throughout both views.

7 This invention'relates to mucilage-bottles; and the object thereof is to provide an improved device of this class which is simple in construction and operation; a further object being to provide improved means for applying mucilage to paper or other material.

The invention is fully disclosed in the followingspecification, of which the accompanying drawings form a part, in which- Figure 1 is a sectional view of a mucilagebottle provided with my improved mucilageapplying device, and Fig. 2 a central longitudinal section of said device.

The lower end of the extension D may be as wide as'the neck of the bottle, if desired,andsaid extension is preferably made of such length as to extend nearly to the bottom thereof.

This device is simple in construction and operation, and is preferably adapted to accomplish the result for which it is intended, while being also comparatively inexpensive; and,
