To ctlZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EFFIE E. The invention is fully disclosed in the following specification, of which the accompanying drawings form a part, in which Figure 1 is a front or plan View of my improved case or receptacle, and Fig. 2 a sec; tion on the line 2 2 of Fig. l.
In the practice of my invention I provide a case or receptacle for the purpose herein specified, consisting of a rectangular frame composed of a central portion 5 and side portions 6, and connected with the bottom of the central portion 5 is a supplemental portion 7 of the same size and form as the central portion 5, both of these parts being preferably square in form, and the side portions 6, which are connected with the central portion 5 of The main frame, are also rectangular in form, but preferably mu ch narrower than said central portion.
The side portions 6 may be so connected with the central portion 5 as to be folded thereover, or the entire main frame, composed of the central portion 5 and the side portions 6, may be rigid, and the supplemental portions 7 may also be hinged or otherwise secured to the central portion 5 of the main frame, and in practice I connect the lower corners 8, 9, 10, and 11 by means of cords or Serial No. 599,272. (No modeld chains 12, and these cords or chains 12 are adapted to serve as paper-files or for any other and similar purpose, and secured to the upper corners of the main frame is a similar rope, cord, or chain 13, by which the device may be suspended from any suitable support.
The front of the central portion 5 of the main frame is provided with a mirror 14, and form ed on or secured to the upper part of one of the side portions 6 is a pincushion 15, and below said pincushion are a plurality of pockets 16, 17, and 18, and these pockets are designed to serve as receptacles for a comb, curling-iron, and brush, and the opposite side portion 6 is also provided with a plurality of pockets 19, 20, and 21, which are des gned to serve as receptacles for letters and various other articles, and the supplemental portion 7 of the frame is provided with a plurality of pockets 22, 23, 2a, 25, 26, and 27, of which the larger pockets 22 and 23 are designed to serve as receptacles for letter-paper, envelops, &c., the pockets 26 and 27 as receptacles for inkstands, stamps, and pens, and the pockets 24 and 25 as receptacles for pencils, penholders, and other articles.
