This'invention consists of a frame composed and provided with swivel! buttons and eccentric abutting-plates in such a manner that when the canvas is secured to the movable strips of the frame by turn-ing the y swivel-buttons against theeccentric abuttingplates the frame is spread and the canvas stretched to any desired extent.
