SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 531,028, dated December 18, 1 s94.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, HERMANN GLKSER, a

. subject of the Emperor of Austria-Hungary,

residing at Vienna, Austria-Hungary, have in-- vented certain new and useful Improvements in Candle-Holders, (forwhich I obtained aGerman Gebrauchsmusterschutz, N0. 20,023, of November 17, 1893,) of .Which'the following is a specification;

The principal object of my present invention is to provide a simple, durable and effective holder for candles or the like; and to which end my invention consists of acandleholder constructed and arranged in the manner hereinafter described and claimed.

The nature and scope of my invention will be more fully understood from the following description taken in connection with the ac- I. companying drawing, illustrating in vertical candle and hold the same in required position.

Having thus described the nature and objeets of my invention, what I claim as new,

and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

A candle-holder, comprising a sheath, cylinder' or tube provided with spring fingers or clamps flaring outwardly and curving inwardly, a disk in sliding engagement with said fingers or clamps, a stem or pin fastened to and supporting said disk and provided with a cone-shaped end adapted to engage a candle and the opposite end of said stem or pin engaging a case, and a spiral spring engaging at one end with said stem or pin and at the other with said sheath, substantially as and for the purposes set forth.
