in the lcounty of Guthrie Vand State of Iowa, have invented a newA and useful Rotating Rack for Holding Robes, Wall-Paper, ctc., of which the following is a specification.

hibiting samples of carriage robes, carpets, Wall paper, dac., and" to prevent them from getting creased by folding, and soiled by frequent handling; and myinvention consists in the construction and operation of a rack adapted to be suspended for supporting and handling samples, as hereinafter set forth, pointed out in my claims and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure l is a side-view with part in section. Fig. 2 is a side view, and Fig. 3, is a perspective view showingmy complete deviceand samples of merchandise attached thereto as required in practical use.

A, are metal frames of circular form fixed to the ends of a shaft B, by means of screws C, as shown in the vsection part of Fig. 1. The disks or circular frames A have central bores to admit screws and sockets in concentric position therewith 'on' their inside faces to admit the ends of the shaft B. The screws have fianges D, and square heads E. The flanges are adapted to overlap the centersof the frames A, and the square heads E adapt' them for the application of ,a Wrench, and also to serve as buttons to keep the leather straps or strips of wood,H, connected therewith, for the purpose of suspending thedevice from a ceiling, or other support, to which the pieces ll may be attached.

The circular frames A have central perforations and concentric flanges A2 projecting from their inside faces are adapted to serve as sockets for the ends of the shaft B. 1t is obvious that by. inserting the ends of the shaft in these sockets and then passing the screws Cthrough the perforationst-in the centers of the frames A and into bores in the endsof the shaft the frames are detachably connected with the shaft so that the parts can be readily separated to economize space Yin packing and shipping the complete device. My object is to save time and-labor in ex- Slots or hOlesJ in the frames A admit tapes or Wires K, or other suitable material to be extended through and fastened thereto to remain stretched and spanned from one frame to the other for the purpose of attaching samples thcreto. l

I claim as my invention--v l. YIn a rotatable rack the combination of a screw having ahead at one end adapted to be engaged by a wrench, av journal contiguous to the head adapted to rest and rotate in a suitable bearing and a flange contiguous to said journal adapted to engage the fiat face of a disk, a disk .or circular frame having a central bore to admit a screw and a socket concentric with said bore to admit theend Of` a shaft, and a shaft fitted and fixed in said socket, .to operate lin the manner-set forth for thepurposes stated.

A device for exhibiting samples, composed of two Vframes A, a bar or shaftB,serews having flanges D, and square headsE passed through the centers of the said frames and fixed to the ends of the said shaft, and a series of tapes, bars or wires lixed to the frames A, to extend parallel With the shaft, and straps H for suspending thedevice, as and for the purposes stated( FRANK G.
