SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 508,345, dated November '7, 1893.

To all whom it may concern.-

'Be it known that I, FRANK L; SACKETT, of Fredonia, in the county of Chautauqua and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Irn proved Goal-Screen, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.

This invention relates to improvements in coal screens that are used to screenbroken coal for 'retail purposes, and has for its objects to provide a novel, simple, inexpensive and convenient device of the character indi cated, which will afford means to thoroughly screen coal of different grades, and that may be attached to the side of a car orcart, or be inclined against an upright support for use; a further object being, I able and removable hopper for the screen, which will conduce to the efficiency of the screen in cleaning coal of fine grades.

The coal screen comprises a rectangular frame A, of ordinary form,'whereon screen wire fabric B, of a suitable mesh, is secured by any suitable means, a proper length and breadth -being provided for these parts to infor the screen. This part of the device is not claimed as of a new construction.
