Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 17,836. dated May 23, 1865. I
To all whom it may concern Be itknown that we. J. W. KIMBALL, of Boston, in the county of Sufi'olk, alld'JOHN MAHADY, of Cambridge,
all of the State of Massachusetts, have invented an Improved Shoulder-Support; and we do hereby declare that the following, taken in connection with the drawing which accompanies and'forms part of this siecification, is a description of our invention suificient to enable those skilled in the art to practice it.
It is well known that theconstant use of s wing-machines tends to produce bodily disa wt rtion and local ailments from the disposi t on of the upper part of the body to bender swing forward-- in correspondence with the pressure of the foot upon thesewing-machine treadle. Y
