SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 450,378, dated April 14, 1891.
Application filed December 24,1890. Serial No. 375,716. (No model.)
To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM H. ROBINSON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Oceanside, in the county of San Diego and State of California, haveinvented a new and useful Ink-Eraser, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to an improvementin ink-erasers; and it has for its object to provide a simple and inexpensive article made in various geometrical forms that will efficiently take the place of the ordinary eraser, and at the same time to combine with the eraser a blotter that will be handy and convenient in blotting where the erased portion is written over.

suitable material cut on its periphery to form a hexagonal triangular disk or any other preferred geometrical block. Around the entire periphery of the figure is glued a strip of abrasive material B, composed of flint-finishing paper, emery, or other suitable abrasive material, or the figure may be coated with abrasive material, if preferred. On the faces of block A and flush with the edges of the abrasive strip are secured pieces of blottingpaper 0, which combine in the block both an ink-eraser and blotter. A slight pressure is sufficient to remove the ink in this article, and the paper by the use thereof is left comparatively smooth and is easy to rewrite over, while the blotting-paper on the faces of the block serves the function of a handy and easy blotter to blot readily the portion written over and preventing any possibility of the ink spreading before it can be blotted.

In an ink-eraser, a geometrical block having its entire periphery covered with a strip or coating of abrasive material and its faces with blotting -.=paper, substantially as described.
