SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 427,414, dated May 6, 1890.
Application filed October 2, 1889.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALFRED GOULDING, a citizen of theUnited States,residing atWVorcester, in the county of \Vorcester and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Cuff and Garment Supporters; andI do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which, in connection with the drawing forming a part of this specification, will enable others skilled in the art to which my invention belongs to make and use the same.
The object of my invention is to provide a cuff and garment supporter adapted to support cufis, shirt-sleeves, stockings, or any parts of wearing-apparel where it may be useful; and it consists of aloop struck out of sheet metal or formed of wire,having a bight at one end provided with a pin -hook, the other end of the loop having a button and hook combined.
Referring to the drawing, therein is shown a view of asupporter embodying my improvement, showing the form of the loop having a bight at one end provided with a pin, and the other the button and hook combined.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The cuff and garment supporter herein described, consisting of the loop D, having the contracted slots 0 and O and provided at one end with the button B, and the pin E,
pivoted to one side of the loop and adapted to swing across the contracted slot 0, substantially as described.
