TUG-HOLDER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 414,548, dated November 5, 1889.
Application filed June 11. 1889. Serial No. 313,916. (No model.)
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ARDEN D: KIMBALL, a citizen of the United States, residing at Miles, in the county of Jackson and State of Iowa, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Tug-Holders; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanyingdrawings, and to the letters and figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
This invention relates to tug-holders, and has for its object to provide a simple and convenient means for supporting the tug which can be readily adjusted to any harness and to any-sized horse.
The improvement consists of the novel features which will be hereinafter more fully described and claimed, and which are shown in the annexed. drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a side view of a horse, showing the application of my invention. Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the tug-holder.
The tug A is of usual construction and relative arrangement, as is also the hip-strap C. The short strap Z) is secured at its lower end to the ring B, and is provided with the buckle b at its upper end, by means of which it is ad j ustably connected with the hip-strap C.

In a harness, the combination of the hipstrap. 0, the short strap 1), having ring B, adjustably connected with the hip-strap, the side straps D D, having buckles at their ends, the short straps E E, connected with the ring B and adapted to be buckled to the upper ends of straps D D, and the straps F, connected with the lower ends of the straps D and adapted to be buckled around the tug, substantially as and for the purpose described.
