IMPROVED DRAIN-TILE MOLD.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 39,621, dated August 25, 1863.

To all 'whom it may concern Be it known that I, JOHN J. ALVORD, of the town of Tecumseh, in the county of Lenawee and State of Miehican, have invented a new and useful Irnprovementin a Machine for Manufacturing Sewer and Drain Tile; and I do declare hereby that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construetion and operation of lhe same, reference be ing had to the annexed drawirgs, making a part of the specification, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.

` The nature of my invention consists in the peculiar arran gem ent of certain parts of meehanism whereby a. machine is produced for making sewer and drain tile of any desired form from clay, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and letters of reference marked thereon, of which No. l is front View. No. 2 is back view- No. 3 is the edge View, showing the divisions between the different sizes of tile. Fig. 9 shows the tile. Nos. 4 and 5 show the stops. No. 4 shows the hook on the stop.

F F is the hook. H H is the bolt for bolting on the stop E E, No. 5. G G is the crossbar on Nos. 2 and 3. No. 6 is the bolt.

After having thus described my machine, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The sewer and tile head, for the purposes set forth and described.
