IMPROVED PLOUGH.
TO WI-IOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that I, THOMAS MARCH, of Dallas, in the county of Clinton, in the State of Michigan, have invented a new and useful improvement in the Manufacture of Plougbs; and I do declare thatthe following isl an :tceurateldeseription thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, a.
` nd to the letters of reference marked thereon, being a. part of this speci'eution.
Figure 1 is e perspective. view of my plough. Figure 2 is a. sectional View of the mould-board, showing the cast iron and steel. Figure 3 is a, sectionail view of the land-side.
The plough is made of cest iron, with ribscast upon the outer side of mould-,board A andilnd-side B.
These ribs are cast with sutleient height or thickness to be flush or even with a piece of steel plate swagedinto proper shape to fit the mould-board and lend-side,` to be placed between the ribs C C, &e., and securedtio the mould-board and land-side by proper bolts or rivets, or other suitable device. By this way of making Aafplowugh I get one that works with all the ea-se and cleanliness of an entire'steel plough, at a far less-expense. i
