HENRY s. HowE, or RUTLAND, VERMONT.
IMPROVEMENT IN CONFECTIONERS MOLDS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. l 12,710, datedMarch 1 4, 1871.
'o all whom t may concern.-
Be it known that I, H. S. HOWE, of Rutland, inthe State of Vermont, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Confectioners Molds; and I do hereby declare that the following` is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification, in which- Figure I is a perspective View of my moldframe. Fig. 2 is a plan view of one side of a mold. Fig. 3 is a side View of the same.
The nature of my invention consists in the construction of a mold for confectionary purposes in the manner set forth.
The frame of my mold is formed of the two parallel bars A, united at their ends by the clamps b, the said clamps being pointed like staples, and easily :removed from their place,
when desired. On the inside of bars A a series of vertical grooves is made, the grooves in one bar corresponding to the grooves in the other. Into these grooves the met-al plates (See Fig. 2.) The numerous grooves in the bars A will admit of shifting the plates C C, so as to adapt the moldto the required size.
The plates C C may be made of a plate of metal bent at right angles at its ends, as seen in Fig. 3. Two of said plates, when put in position between the bars A, and their bent ends turned inward, will form a mold.
The bars A may be lined on their inner side with sheet metal, the said lining being grooved to correspond with the grooves in bars A.
It will be seen by the construction of my mold-frame that it may be made of any width or length desired, and may be formed either' i two witnesses.
