Be it known that we, MARKVANDERoooK.

and. ROBERT T. BUSH, citizens of the United States, residing at Gallatin, in the county of I 5, Sumner and State of Tennessee, haveinvented certain new and useful Improvements in Strap- V for the purpose of uniting the endsof two straps. Said figures represent front, edge, and

back views, respectively. Fig. 4 is. a cross section view of the clasp uniting the straps. Fig. 5 shows two views of the back plate. Fig.

6 shows two views of the front plate. Figs. 7 and 8 'show the clasp combined with a strap loop .or keeper-and applied for attaching a I buckle.

Having. described our invention, we claim 0 and desire to secure by Letters Patentof the UnitedStates- 1. A metal clasp for harnessstraps, comprising two plates, A B, one of said plates, A, having'two side bars, 6, each provided with two 5 notches, e", and also having on its inner face prongs f to penetrate the'leather, and the other plate, B, having at each side edge two tangs,
