SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 360.629, dated April 5, 1887.

Application filed February 7, 1887. Serial No. 226,798. (No model.)

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, ADOLPH WAHRA, of Milwaukee, in the county of Milwaukee, and in the State of Visconsin, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Fly- Nets; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof.

My invention relates to fiy-nets, and will be fully described hereinafter.

In the drawings, Figure 1 is a plan view of myimproved flynet, and Fig. 2 is an enlarged detail of the neck portion thereof.

A B G D E are bars (so called in the trade) of leather. The bars A E extend to the neck portion, while bar 0 extends to the head. The bars 13 D extend beyond the head, and one of them, D, has an extension, (I, that buckles at e to the adjacent end of bar B, after passing around the animals forehead, and the strings F that form the net are passed trans versely through these bars. To the front end of the bar A is attached a strap, b, which, eX- tending from bar A at right angles, crosses bar B, to which it is secured, and then extending diagonally across space 0 is secured to bar D, and likewise another strap, Z), is secured 'to the front end of bar E and extended across bar D, and thence diagonally across the space a to bar B, both straps being secured to bar 0 at their intersection, leaving triangular openings for the ends of the hames c on each side of the space 0," and thus permitting the net to fit snugly and comfortably on the animal, while the straps b I) serve as braces for the bars to keep them in shape.

Heretofore the straps F in fly-nets have extended all the way across the neck portion, just as in the balance of the device; but the pressure of the hame ends served to twist and injure these strings and frequently break them at this point, and thus disarrange the entire net in an ordinary net made without my bracepieces; but I arrange the straps at the neck portion, as shown in detail in Fig. 2, atf, in dotted lines, and thereby secure a free space between the bars and straps to receive the said hame ends,

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. In a fly-net, the combination, with the longitudinal bars, of bracing-straps at or near the neck portion, arranged substantially as described.

2. The combination, with bars A, B, C, D, and E, of bracing-straps b I), as and for the purpose set forth.

3. In a liy-net,the combination, with the longitudinal bars and bracing-straps, of the strings secured only to the outer bars at the neck portion, whereby a clear spaceis pro vided for the reception of the hame ends, substantially as set forth.
